I’m relatively unfamiliar with Cocricot troubleshooting, but I know whenever something turns black in Minecraft it often means you have a rendering issue.
Sometimes, that’s because your graphics card is integrated (like on laptops) and can’t run everything properly or you’re missing an GPU update somewhere. You could also try turning on OpenGL error logging inside Optifine and check if that throws any errors you can look up on Google. There’s a few people on my Discord who use Cocricot and may be able to help you further!
cocricot has a lot of seaside aesthetic stuff and i love it
